The difference between present and gift
It is not surprising that we buy something, wrap it up, and give it to the person we want to give it to. Sometimes we call such gifts gifts, and sometimes we call them presents.
They both mean giving something to someone else without expecting anything in return from the recipient.
Under normal circumstances, we use them interchangeably based on our feelings:

But there are some subtle differences between the two. If we want to use it more accurately, it is better to understand clearly.
1, present can be a gift to be “rewarded” or as a “souvenir”; gift can mean a gift to be “given” or “donated”.
