how did greeting cards evolve? And his development history? Wait?

A greeting card is a kind of card thatpeople greet each other when they meet a festive date or event. Presenting greeting cards before importantpersonal events orpublic holidays is both formal and convenient for bothpeople and themselves. Therefore, greeting cards, as a traditional form, have beenpreserved since the Han Dynasty. At first, greeting cards were called “famous cards”, mainly to introduce themselves. In the Western Han Dynasty, they were called “paying respects”. Today, when the distinguished guests meet, they still say “paying respects”. It was called “famous thorn” after the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the word “famous thorn” is still used in Japan today, which is our common business card. After the Tang and Song Dynasties, the name and function of greeting cards changed, called “door” or “flyingpost”. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was also called “red list” and “New Year greeting card” and so on. The function of greeting card design is becoming more and more secular. The reason is actually very simple. Ancient education was notpopular enough, and fewpeople were literate. Greeting cards were originallypassed among dignitaries, with a high startingpoint. Entering the commercial society, greeting cards are more enthusiastic and less sour. It is said that during the Spring Festival in Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong made a greeting card with red gold foil, and gave it to the minister as a royal book “Celebrating the whole world”. This form was invented by the emperor and quickly spread among thepeople. However, people dare not use gold foil, and instead useplum blossom letterheadpaper to write vertically, with the official name of the recipient at the topright and the name of the congratulatoryperson at the bottom left. Famous cards and greeting cards were originally submitted by myself to show my solemnity. However, in the Song Dynasty, the commercial atmosphere wasstrong, andpeople became increasingly busy. Therefore, those who could not deliver itpersonally sent servants topresent it, gradually forming a custom. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there was a set of etiquette forpresenting greeting cards, etc. According to the regulations, servants could notpresent greeting cards by hand, so they invented the box of worship, that is, the box held by servants when visiting, which was rectangular and just big enough to accommodate greeting cards. After seeing the master, the servant can’t use the hand-held card orpost directly, but must open the worshipbox and let the master take it out. The commercial mailing of greeting cardproduction also began in the Song Dynasty. According to Zhang Shinan’s Travel Notes, every winter solstice and New Year’s Day, “all foreign officials are treated as their long officials”, which is the earliest record ofpostal service as a greeting card messenger. Because greeting cards communicate the emotional communication betweenpeople, and such communication is often expressed in short sentences, such as “congratulations on your birthday” often written in the Song Dynasty. Over time, greetings have become stylized, concise and festive. Nowadays, people usually give greeting cards on birthday, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day and other days, with words of blessing.
