All university dormitories in Oslo are provided by one institution. SIO international students will give a housing guarantee when they are admitted, which is used to apply for a visa. The single room in the dormitory is generally 3000-3500 including water and electricity bills. If there is a communal kitchen and a single person’s living expenses, it should be 6-7W a year without spending money and buying luxury goods.
What kind of city is Oslo?
Oslo, the capital and largest city of Norway, is the political, economic, cultural, transportation center and main port of Norway. It is also the seat of the Norwegian royal family and government. Legend has it that “Oslo” means “the valley of God”, but in Norwegian, it refers to “the glade”, the famous scenic spot Vigeland Sculpture Park, Akershus Castle, and the Nobel Peace Center.
Oslo is located in southeastern Norway. It is one of the wealthiest, safest and highest standard of living cities in all of Europe, and one of the happiest cities in the world. Oslo is close to the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It is affected by the prevailing westerly winds and warm currents along the coast, forming a temperate maritime climate. The climate is relatively mild and there is more precipitation throughout the year. 75% of Oslo’s urban area is forest and arable land, and the per capita green area ranks first in European capitals. The city is located on the edge of the bay, with humid air and a warm and suitable climate.
Oslo is located on the hills at the northern end of the Oslo Fjord, facing the sea and backing off the mountains. The city is neatly laid out, with a unique style, an elegant environment and charming scenery. The city is on the verge of the tortuous Oslo Bay, backed by the towering Holmenkollen Mountain, and the green sea is reflected in the Cangshan Mountains. The city has both the beautiful scenery of a seaside city and the vigorous momentum displayed by the mountains and dense forests.
