Pandora’s box (pandora’sbox) is an ancient Greek myth. Pandora was the first human woman created by Zeus, and the gods gave her seductive charm in order to avenge humanity.

According to myth, Pandora opened the box given to her by the gods and released all the evils in the world – greed, hypocrisy, slander, jealousy, etc., but Pandora closed the lid before she could release hope. Therefore, Pandora’s box is often used as a metaphor for “the source of disaster”.

Pandora’s Box, also known as Pandora’s Box, Pandora’s Box, is a classic ancient Greek myth.

Pandora’s Box Pandora was the first human woman created by Zeus, mainly to take revenge on humans. Because Prometheus of the gods cared too much about humans, he angered Zeus. Zeus first commanded Hephaestus, the god of fire, to mix water and soil to make a lovely woman in the image of Muse; then commanded Aphrodite, the god of love and beautiful woman, to drizzle with hormones that make men crazy; Hera gave her confidence and self-esteem, Muse Athena taught women to weave cloth and create beautiful clothes of various colors, making women look more vivid and charming; Hermes, the messenger of the gods, imparted her talent for language; so Zeus injected a vicious scourge behind this beautiful image. A complete woman is finally done. The gods helped her dress and put on a headband (this headband is the work of Hephaestus, the god of fire), and she was as beautiful as a bride with a bead chain. Hamish advised: “Call this woman Pandora, a gift from the gods to mankind.” The gods agreed with his suggestion. In ancient Greek, Pan meant everything, and Dora was a gift. “Pandora” means “woman with all gifts.”

Pandora was created.

Zeus ordered Hermes to bring her to Prometheus’ younger brother, Epimetheus. Because he knew that Prometheus (meaning: foreknowledge) would not accept his gift, he gave it to Epimetheus at the beginning (meaning: hindsight, Prometheus’ brother). Epimetheus was stupid by nature, and coupled with Pandora’s beauty and temptation, he accepted her.

Pandora (also translated as Pandora) was the first woman made of clay by Hephaestus in Greek mythology, and was given to humans as punishment for Prometheus stealing fire.

The gods gave her gifts that made her even more alluring: Hephaestus, the god of fire, made her a gorgeous golden robe; Venus, the god of love, gave her the power to charm and seduce men; Hermes, the messenger of the gods, taught her the skill of speech. The gods each gave her a gift.

According to a white-bottomed Chiricus cup (a large wine glass with shallow ears in ancient Greece) in the British Museum, Pandora’s other name is “Anesidora”, which means “she who gives gifts”. Her name is derived from the box in her hand. The spouse is Epimetheus.
